1. Scope of inspection
An HonestDrive condition report records observations made on the inspection date using the checks and access available at that time. It is not a dismantling inspection, laboratory test, manufacturer certification, roadworthiness certificate, valuation guarantee, or prediction of future reliability unless expressly stated.
2. Inspection limitations
- Intermittent, hidden, internal, recently repaired, or intentionally concealed defects may not be detected.
- Weather, lighting, cleanliness, access, diagnostic compatibility, fuel/charge level, or refusal to permit a check may limit findings.
- A vehicle can be damaged, repaired, modified, or driven after inspection.
- Scores summarize recorded categories and should be read with comments, photos, documents, and exclusions.
3. Documents and history
A document check may confirm the appearance, availability, or consistency of records supplied to HonestDrive. It does not replace confirmation from the registering authority, insurer, lender, police, court, service centre, or other official source.
Buyers should verify ownership, hypothecation closure, challans, insurance, tax, registration validity, accident/claim history, service records, and transfer eligibility before completing the purchase.
4. Images, video, and display
Photos and YouTube walkaround videos help users understand a vehicle but may not show every mark, sound, smell, defect, accessory, or colour variation. Screen settings and recording conditions can affect appearance.
YouTube content is also subject to YouTube's platform terms and availability.
5. Independent decision
Customers should review the vehicle in person, take an appropriate test drive, ask for clarification, and obtain independent mechanical or legal advice where the risk or purchase value warrants it.
