1. Plan information
HonestDrive may display protection, warranty, and service-plan choices during a vehicle booking. The selected plan name and price may be recorded with the booking.
The plan certificate or schedule identifies the provider, covered vehicle, price, duration, start date, limits, claim process, exclusions, cancellation rights, and applicable taxes.
2. No automatic coverage
Selecting a plan on the website does not create coverage unless the plan is eligible, paid for where required, accepted by the provider, and confirmed in writing.
A free/default option may provide limited or no additional coverage and must be described accurately.
3. Typical exclusions requiring disclosure
- Pre-existing or previously disclosed defects.
- Routine wear, consumables, scheduled maintenance, tyres, batteries, glass, paint, or upholstery unless expressly included.
- Accident, flooding, misuse, racing, overloading, unauthorized modification, or neglected maintenance.
- Commercial use or use outside the permitted geography.
- Claims without required service records, notice, inspection, or authorization.
4. Claims and repairs
Customers must follow the provider's notice and pre-authorization process before repair. HonestDrive may assist with communication but does not guarantee claim acceptance where a third party administers the plan.
5. Insurance distinction
A warranty or service plan is not motor insurance unless it is expressly issued as an insurance product by an authorized insurer. Statutory motor-insurance obligations continue independently.
